Our Scripture reading today is Luke 21:5-6.
 
Verse 6, "As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
 
Approximately 40 years after Jesus Christ spoke these words, Jerusalem fell.  This included the Temple.  The destruction was so complete that it is very difficult to know today exactly where the Temple was.
 
I am reminded and encouraged by some other words that the Lord Jesus spoke during His earthly ministry.  He said in John 14:3, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."  While I do not know the exact time or day, I know that Jesus is coming again.  My confidence is in His very words.  Romans 4:21, "And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."
