Today’s Scripture reading is Hebrews 11:13-15.
Verse 13, "...and embraced them,"
The heroes of faith mentioned in Hebrews 11 were willing to embrace the promises of God that were far off. By faith, they focused on His promises. We, too, need to turn our eyes to the promises of God. Our God has not and will not fail. He keeps His promises. It would be a help to all of us if we would take a few moments and re-discover several promises of God that our found in His Word. I will give you one verse that is on my heart this morning. Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" God is still working on my to make me what I ought to be. Claiming this promise gives me joy and hope!
