Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.
Verse 11, "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
We are given quite the list of sinners in verses 9 and 10. All sin carries with it the death penalty. Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death." It matters not what "level" of sinner you consider yourself. Your sin must be paid for by death. There are two death options: 1. You die and spend eternity in hell. 2. By faith, you receive God's gift of salvation through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. Biblically speaking, these are our only options.
Praise God for His love and forgiveness provided through Jesus Christ. There is still power in the blood of Jesus Christ to save lost sinners like you and me! When we get saved, our past life is placed under the blood and we are free to live in victory every day. Have you been washed in the blood of the Lamb? If you died today, are you 100% sure you would be in Heaven? There is no time to delay. Today, can be the day of your salvation!
