Our Scripture reading today is Haggai 2:4, "Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the
LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye
people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:"
As the people in the days of Haggai, we have the LORD with us as well. He
enables us to be strong. Our responsibility is to claim His strength and move
forward by faith. Zechariah 4:6, "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is
the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,
saith the LORD of hosts." It is not in us that
makes the difference in whether or not we are victorious. The LORD is all
powerful and will enable us to win the battle if we lean on Him by faith.
"Be strong, be strong, be strong in the LordAnd be of good courage, for He is your Guide
Be strong, be strong, be strong in the Lord
And rejoice for the victr'y is yours"
