Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 27:13, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the
goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."

Notice the psalmist had to believe before he could see. This can be applied as
well to becoming a child of God. Unless there is belief, one cannot be forgiven
of their sin and be saved. It all starts with belief. There is more to it, but
without belief, salvation will never take place.

As we come to the close of another year, I would like you to examine your
heart and see if you still believe.  Not in reference to your salvation, but in
reference to the goodness of the LORD. Your response will determine why
you are or are not fainting. If Satan has you deceived into believing God is
not good because of ____________; then you are fainting. Stop believing
the lies of Satan and trust that God loves you and knows what He is doing.

See the goodness of the LORD and it will bring you strength.
