Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."
God is ever present in our lives. He is with us in the most challenging of times and
this includes the time of our physical death. Preparations by God have already been
made for the appointment of our death. There is His rod and staff that are available
to comfort and encourage us. God is our ever present help in time of need and this
includes our dying time.
We need not fear dying. As a child of God, physical death is the entrance into the
physical presence of God in Heaven. The day of our death truly will be better
than the day of our birth. God is with us now and He will be with us then. There
is nothing more encouraging to know and share.
