Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 22:23-24.
Verse 24, "For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid
his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard."
The Creator God of Heaven is always available for those who are going through a
difficult season in life. It is up to us to turn to Him in time of need. There is a promise
in this verse that if we cry unto the Lord, He will hear us. Don't fall into the trap of the
enemy and "blame" God for the struggles. An honest assessment of trouble always
goes back to the curse of sin. Sin brings about all the destruction in our world. We are
blessed to have the Prince of Peace to turn to in times of need.
Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall
be upon his shoulders and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty
God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace."
