Our Scripture reading today is Exodus 32:1, "And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him."

Recently we learned that God's delays are not necessarily His denial.  His ways and times are often not our ways and times.  God has our best in mind with regards to His timing.  Very few people like to wait.  It is definitely not on my list of things I enjoy.  Delays typically lead to frustration.

There are times God ordains it that we wait for our good and His glory.  He brings about a delay in our day so our path will cross with someone who needs the Gospel.  If you did not have the flat tire, you would not have met the tow truck driver or the mechanic who needs to hear about the love of God.  As we grow in grace, we will see delays as divine appointments and not be frustrated.
