Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 5:15-18.
Verse 17, "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
We all have the same amount of time every day, but are we all redeeming our time?  The word, redeem, in this verse means to make wise and sacred use of every opportunity.  God has a will for your day and mine.  It is up to us to be filled with His Spirit so we can walk circumspectly through our day all the while redeeming our time.  I am quite sure we could all improve with regards to this three word command.
Today is a good day to start or re-start redeeming the time.  Today is a good day to love and honour your spouse as you should.  Today is a good day to communicate love to your children.  Today is a good day to reach out to a family member who you have not contacted in months or even years.  Today is a good day to give a Gospel tract to your co-worker.  In other words, don't delay in redeeming your time.  Eventually either your time or someone you love's time runs out.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, take up the challenge TODAY, and redeem the time!
