Our Scripture reading today is John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

How can this be?  How can someone do greater works?  When Jesus Christ
went back to His Father, He sent the Holy Spirit to in dwell all believers.  The
Holy Spirit makes it possible for us to see greater works.  We are not greater than
Jesus Christ, but the works done since the coming of the Holy Spirit are greater.
There were more people saved in Peter's sermon than in the entire three year
ministry of Jesus Christ.  This is one example of what Jesus was referring to.

What work are you doing for the glory of God?  Attending church faithfully is
wonderful and it should be the testimony of every Christian.  This is not an
area of service for the Lord.  The life of the Christian ought to be marked by
at least one specific way in which you are working in His kingdom.

Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
