Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 121:3-7.
Verse 5, "The LORD is thy keeper..."
The word "keeper" is translated from the Hebrew word, shamar which means to guard and protect. This verse and truth ought to bring peace and comfort into our heart. Our LORD is our protector! Is there any reason to fear and fret? Is there any reason to doubt the LORD? 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
There is no doubt that fear will come when someone or something becomes our keeper. If your job, spouse, or even yourself becomes your provider and protector, fear is soon to follow. If we have more interest in the latest news update than we do the Word of God, fear is soon to follow. Our Heavenly Father loves us and has made a way for us to consistently move forward by faith. Search the Scriptures and claim one of His promises today!
