Our Scripture reading today is Luke 23:33-34.

Verse 34, "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots."

The greatest example we have to follow in life is Jesus Christ.  In today's reading, we see the sinless Saviour's willingness to forgive those who are mocking Him and ultimately murdering Him.  There is such compassion as He prays to His Father for their forgiveness.

Is there anyone in your life that you need to forgive?  Forgiveness is just as beneficial to the forgiver as it is to the one being forgiven.  When we forgive, we are most like Jesus Christ.  When we forgive, we are keeping bitterness from taking root in our heart.  There is no better time than now to forgive!

Ephesians 4:32, "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even
as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
