Today's Scripture reading is 2 Corinthians 4:14-16.
Verse 15, "For all things are for your sakes..."
This statement in 2 Corinthians by the Apostle Paul reminds me of Romans 8:28 where he writes, "All things work together for good to them that love God..." Our Sovereign, loving God knows exactly what we need and don't need. He is always working on our behalf. Whatever challenge or difficulty has come your way, it is for your sake. It is meant to refine you and make you more aware of your dependence on God.
Take a few moments today to give Him thanks for the blessings as well as the burdens. Each one has a specific purpose in our lives.
