Our Scripture reading today is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,
saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
What a blessed reminder we have from the prophet Jeremiah. The LORD has thoughts
of peace toward His children. This world is filled with turmoil, but God has overcome
the world. He offers peace of mind and heart that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
We can also find peace and assurance in the promise that God has an expected end for
our lives. There is no need to worry or fret. The creator God of the Universe is in
control of our lives from beginning to end and He loves us!
