Our Scripture reading today is 2 Timothy 2:9, "Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound."
The ministry of the Apostle Paul was not without opposition. He was treated as
someone who had committed a crime worthy of being imprisoned. As he wrote to
Timothy that he was bound for preaching but the Word of God could not be bound. An
encouragement for each of God's children today is to continue to deliver the truth.
God's Word will not and cannot be stopped. Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but
the word of our God shall stand for ever."
We have multiple opportunities throughout the week to get God's Word into the hands
of people that we meet. Our word can only go so far, but the Word of God goes
straight to the heart. It will be bring forth fruit to the glory of God.
