Our Scripture reading today is Daniel 3:10-12.
Verse 12, "...they serve not thy gods..."
The world has always been filled with many gods to distract us from our relationship with the one true and living God. Many times these gods are made from the very creation of the God of Heaven. We must guard against worshipping the creation over the Creator.
The three gods that seem to be in the way of many Christians seeing daily victory are the world, the flesh and the devil. 1 John 2:16, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." The devil is seeking to be worshipped. We must repent of any "idol" worship and get back to serving the King of Kings!
