Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 5:12-14.
Verse 12, "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat."
In the life of every child of God, there will be time for learning and time for teaching.  We should never think we have arrived and know all that we need to know.  Growing in grace is to continue unitl Jesus Christ returns or God calls us home to Heaven.  2 Peter 3:18, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen."  Growth should be consistently taking place.
As we learned on Wednesday night, we are to be giving out what we are learning.  We are to be teaching others what God is teaching us.  This is God's will for His children.  2 Timothy 2:2, "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."  The young Christians need to see the older Christians living a life of faithfulness and being encouraged to do the same.  The older we get in the Lord, the more discerning we should become.  This discernment will help us to invest properly into the next generation as well as new Christians that are not necessarily younger than us.
There are plenty of teaching positions that need to be filled.  Why not surrender to fill one of them today?
