Our Scripture reading today is 2 Timothy 4:8, "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but
unto all them also that love his appearing."
Why wouldn't every born again believer love Jesus Christ's appearing? You would think
this would be a given. The followers of Jesus Christ want ot see Him for the first time.
Unfortunately, the way some Christians are living, they give no indication that they
would love His appearing. Living for the world, the flesh, and the devil does not advertise
a longing for Christ to return.
By the grace of God, we ought to live in such a way that there would be little reason why
we would not love His appearing. The Apostle Paul is referring to the One Who bled
and died so we could be called children of God. Every day, we are one day closer to
seeing Him one way or the other. Let's live like we want Him to return today!
