Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 2:14, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of
the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned."
By "natural man", the Apostle Paul is referring to the unsaved man. The unsaved man does
have the Holy Spirit indwelling him; therefore, he cannot understand the truths of God.
A lost person will not be able to grasp all that God wants to teach them until they are
born again of the Spirit of God. When the Author of the Word of God moves into our
lives, we have a completely different view of life and God's Word. One of the ways you
can know that you are saved is a love for the Scriptures. If you have no desire to read the
Bible, hear the Bible preached, and share the Bible with others, I would take some time
and examine my salvation. You may not be saved!
