Today's Scripture reading is 2 Kings 18:28-30.
Verse 30, "Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD..."
The mighty king of Assyria was trying to intimidate the people. If you take the time to read the remainder of the chapter and a couple verses in the next, you will see what takes place. King Hezekiah takes this threat to the house of the Lord. King Hezekiah prays. While we are not hearing the challenge of Rabshakeh today, we do still hear the inward and outward challenges. "You won't make it. God is not able." There are numerous other thoughts that the world, the flesh and the devil will present to us on a daily basis. Might we all heed the example of King Hezekiah and take it to the LORD!
