Our Scripture reading today is Lamentations 3:22, "It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not
consumed, because his compassions fail not."
It amazes me that God has compassion on me when I am so undeserving and at times,
unthankful. His compassion never fails. If we meditate on that, it will bring encouragement and strength
for our day to day lives. God's mercy is also needed and provided to us. His mercy protects us from what
we deserve. As a sinner, we all deserve death. The mercy of God allowed Jesus Christ to die in our
place! Again, another statement that should arrest our attention. God is so good.
We should ask God to help us with our compassion and mercy towards others. What we
have been given, we should pass on.
