Our Scripture reading today is Acts 16:30-31, "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
We could refer to this as the revival at the prison house. Paul and Silas had an opportunity
to flee from prison following an earthquake. Led by the Lord, they decided to stay behind
for some important ministry work. Did they know what was coning? I am not too sure,
but I am sure that they were following the Spirit of God.
When we stay in tune with what the Holy Spirit is leading us to do, it will lead to revivals
like the one we see in Acts 16. It will not be exactly the same each time, but it will be
miraculous for sure. The power of God can be seen when we are willing to lay aside
all other voices for the voice of the Spirit of God through the Word of God.
May God help to listen more intently this week during the mission conference!
