Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 2:1-3.
Verse 1, "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any
time we should let them slip."
I am sure most of us have had someone tell is to "Pay attention!". More than likely,
we heard it more than once. The message this morning is just like that. We are to
pay attention to what we are hearing. This in reference to the things God is teaching
us through His Word. It is not difficult to get someone to pay attention to things they
are interested in. Are you interested in the things of the Lord? Are you letting Biblical
truths slip away without applying them to your life?
Today, would be a good day to start listening attentively once again to what God is
teaching us through the teaching and preaching of His Word. Next, we need to
apply the truths to our lives. The application of truth is just as important as hearing it.
