Our Scripture reading today is Colossians 1:13-14, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"

The family of God has their citizenship secured in Heaven by the precious blood of the
Lord Jesus Christ. While we have earthly citizenships, these are only temporary. Life
should be lived with eternity clearly in view. As we meditate on what we were delivered
from, it should motivate us to live according to the will of God. Our sins have been
forgiven and we have new life in Christ. “It thus speaks of the removal of our sins from us, so that they
are no longer barriers that separate us from God.” (Vaughan)

Give thanks to God for the provision He made that we might have a relationship and fellowship with Him.
The Holy One reached down and pulled us out of the pit and set us on the Rock. Hallelujah!
