Our Scripture reading today is Job 16:21, "O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man
pleadeth for his neighbour!"
We are reminded in this verse that going to God on the behalf of others is the best place
to start. Do we plead with God for our unsaved family members to be saved? Do we
plead with God for our unsaved co-workers to be saved? Do we plead with God for our
backslidden family members or friends to repent and come back to God? The word, plead,
means to entreat or appeal earnestly.
Yes, we may need to plead with someone directly, but it is imperative that we plead with
God first. It is necessary for Him to work on the heart. This is the battle ground for
someone to come to Christ or come back to Christ.
Who do you need to plead with God
for today?
