Our Scripture reading today is Lamentations 3:41, "Let us lift up our heart with our hands
unto God in the heavens."
It is important that we give God our heart as we worship Him. He alone is worthy of
our worship. When I put my heart into His worship, it will lead to a more passionate
work for Him. Our work for the LORD should always come out of our worship. We
must guard against going through the motions in our daily walk as well as at church
meetings. When we put our heart into it, we will be anticipating the next Bible
message that we get to hear. We will come early to church so we can greet the
family of God and any visitors that come. Far too many Christians put more heart
in their secular work than they do in their relationship with God. This ought not to
be the case. If you wouldn't walk in ten minutes late to work, you shouldn't walk
in ten minutes late to the house of God. Which one has more of your heart? Which
One should have more of your heart?
