Our Scripture reading today is 2 Chronicles 30:9, "For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren
and your children shall find compassion before them that lead themcaptive, so that they shall
come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his
face from you, if ye return unto him."
One of the themes of this verse is repentance. It happens at salvation but that is not the
only time that someone should repent. The word in this verse that speaks of repentance
is the word, turn. The children of Israel repented when thy turned back to God. It
manifested itself in the way they would start living. Their worship and service would be
directed back to the one true God.
It what way to do you need to repent? Is there an area of your life that no longer belongs
to God? If so, it is time to repent of that sin and turn back to whole heartedly following
God. He is merciful and will forgive all who turn back to Him. I am so thankful for
His mercy that is new every morning. Hallelujah!
