Our Scripture reading today is Luke 15:18-19, "I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him,
Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make
me as one of thy hired servants."
There is always hope for the wayward to return to the Father. The Father will gladly
receive anyone who returns to Him in humble, repentance. This prodigal son finally
"came to himself" and realized how foolish he had been. It is very evident that sin
took him much farther than he thought he would go.
Repentance always leads to restoration. Have you wandered from the Father and need
to restore the fellowship you once had? God is waiting for you to return to Him. He
did not leave or wander. He is right where you left Him. Today is a great day to arise
and get back to the Father. 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just
to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
