Our Scripture reading today is Isaiah 14:3, "And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,"
We have a promise of rest even when times are challenging and discouraging. God is
faithful to provide all that we need. As we place our dependance on Him, the weight
of our burdens will start to lighten. They will not necessarily go away, but God's
everlasting arms will enable us to keep going one more day. Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye
that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
As we get into the work week, now would be a good time to thank the Lord for the
rest He provides. He is already in our tomorrows ready to supply all that we need.
