Our Scripture reading today is Genesis 39:7-9.

Verse 8, "But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;"

When temptation came to Joseph, he made the best decision he could have made - "he refused..."  There was a recognition in Joseph's heart that he would not only be sinning against his master, but he would more importantly be sinning against God.  Everything is always before the eyes God.

As followers of Jesus Christ, we must decide to say to the temptations of the devil.  The flesh will want to say yes to sin.  God's Spirit will always lead us away from sin.  Romans 6:16, "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
