Our Scripture reading today is 2 Chronicles 20:21-22.
Verse 22, "And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten."
A miracle takes place in this passage of Scripture when the people start singing and praising the LORD. God gave Judah an amazing victory!
I can think of many times in my life when God gave me a similar victory. There is something very special about singing praises to our God. Singing does an amazing work on the inner man. The enemy is seeking to discourage and eventually destroy. A weapon that has helped many Christians is the weapon of song. There are hundreds of songs, hymns and spiritual songs that God has enabled men and women to write. In many cases they were written during a difficult season of life. The words of comfort God gave them were used to not only praise Him, but to bring the author peace and joy.
Take a quick look through your hymn book and find a song for today. Sing it a few times as your personal worship and praise to the King of Kings.
