Our Scripture reading today is Jude 22-23, "And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."
As we seek to help others, some will be reached with compassion and some will be
reached with more strength. Both are reached from a heart of love. The point is that
not everyone responds the same way. These are people who are already Christians.
Some will need comfort at times and others will need correction. The goal is always
to guide them back to a healthy walk with God. Ephesians 4:15, "But speaking the truth in love,
may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:"
It is imperative that we are led by the Holy Spirit as we go about our day. He will
make it clear as to how we should direct a fellow brother or sister in Christ.
