Today's Scripture reading is
2 Timothy 2:20-22.Verse 20 - "...some to honour...:
The timing of reading this Scripture passage is quite amazing considering we referenced yesterday in Sunday school. This three word phrase ("some to honour") is a daily challenge and prayer request. It is my desire to use my "vessel" (life) to bring honour and glory to my Heavenly Father. Unfortunately, the old man would also like to be honoured and glorified. This leads to a daily struggle that the outcome depends on the choices we make. Will we yield to the flesh or the Spirit? The answer to this question will determine if our life honours or dishonours our God. Read Galatians 5:16. To Honour God is to love God. To love God is to obey God. My honour for Him leads to so much more.
