Our Scripture reading today is Exodus 23:2, "Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:"

Following the crowd is seldom if ever going to lead you in the right direction.  It might
work at the store when everyone is looking for the same product, but it is not advisable
when it involves the ways of the world.  Just because "everyone" is doing it does not make
it right for the follower of Jesus Christ.  What causes so many young people to fall into
this trap is called peer pressure.  Their peers are doing it so they think they must follow
along or they will be ridiculed or made fun of.  I guess this can also be seen in the adult
world as well.

It is our responsibility to follow the admonition given by the Apostle Paul.  Ephesians
6:13-14, "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;"  The people of God need to determine now to stand on the principles and commands in the Word of God.  Make decisions now that are biblical before you have to make those
decisions.   If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.
