Our Scripture reading today is Joshua 1:3-5.
Verse 5, "There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."
The promises God made to Joshua and the nation of Israel are still true today for every born again believer. In verse 5, God promised them victory over their enemies, His presence, and His provision. By the way, God always keeps His promises.
Romans 8:37, "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." We, too, are promised victory!
Hebrews 13:5, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." We, too, are promised His presence!
Philippians 4:19, "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." We, too, are promised His provision!
We have been promised His power, presence and provision. These are only three of the many promises of God. Stand on them and praise Him today!!
