Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 91:4, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his
wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler."

The last part of this verse remind us of the great importance of staying very near the
truth. God's Word is truth and it never changes. We need it to shield us from the fiery
darts of the wicked. God has put everything in place for His children to be safe from
their enemy. “As for God’s care, it combines the warm protectiveness of a parent bird with the hard,
unyielding strength of armour.” (Kidner)

Bible memorization is an excellent way to always have the truth with us and in us.
It is never too late to start hiding God's Word in our hearts. Psalm 119:11, "Thy word
have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
