Our Scripture reading today is Acts 5:42, "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."
All over Jerusalem they were lifting up one name. The message of Christ crucified,
buried, and risen again was being proclaimed every day. We are no longer living in the
first century, however, the same approach should be taken today by the church. Not a
day should go by when the name of Jesus is not mentioned in some way or another. His
name represents His work. His name represents salvation for every lost sinner who will
believe. Jesus Christ died for all!
“Now, I charge every Christian here to be speaking boldly in Christ’s name, according as he has opportunity, and especially to take care of this tendency of our flesh to be afraid; which leads practically to endeavours to get off easily and to save ourselves from trouble. Fear not; be brave for Christ. Live bravely for him who died lovingly for you.” Spurgeon
Aren't you thankful someone spoke to you of Christ?
