Our Scripture reading today is John 3:16-18.
Verse 17, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
The Son of God is the only hope we have to be saved from the condemnation of our sin.  We were born into condemnation.  The love of God for sinful man was seen in the manger in Bethlehem as well as the cross of Calvary.  Matthew 1:21, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."  Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
This remains the most important story that must continue to be told to the nations.  The story of God's love for condemned mankind.  The story of Jesus Christ willingness to be our sinless sacrifice.  Have you shared this Good News with anyone lately? This month? This year?  Romans 10:14, "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"
