Today’s Scripture reading is Matthew 12:34-36.
Verse 34, "...for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."
What are we allowing to fill our heart? The word abundance in this verse means "in which one delights in." What we delight in will be what fills our heart and this will lead to how we speak and act. I would say this truth is even more important now than ever before in our Christian life. It is very important that we guard the entrance to our heart. We have an enemy that is seeking to destroy and devour. He is not to be taken lightly. One of His goals is to infiltrate our hearts in order to deceive and discourage which will lead to defeat. Our source of protection for our heart will always be the Word of God. One of the Canadian Revival Conference preachers this week said we must saturate our lives with the Word of God. This is vital in order to be victorious! Psalm 119:130, "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."
It is time to go into Operation Saturation mode!
