Our Scripture reading today is Ezekiel 36:26-28.
Verse 27, "And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them."
We made it to day #366 of 2020! Only by God's grace can we say that we see the finish line of this year. Each and every day there has been an emphasis placed on trusting and obeying. In our concluding text of 2020, the prophet Ezekiel is being challenged by God Almighty to more than a hearing of what He wants. God always works from the inside out. He gives a new heart which leads us to a new way of living. Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"
We are incapable of changing without God's help. He gives is the new heart and His Spirit. It is then our responsibility to daily lean on Him to keep and do His commandments. Philippians 2:13, "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Our Heavenly Father desires that we WANT to follow His will and that we DO follow His will.
The Christian life is a daily journey of trusting and obeying!
