Our Scripture reading today is Hosea 2:19, "And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will
betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies."
We have been assured of our security in Jesus Christ. He made it possible for all sinners
to be redeemed and made part of the family of God. Eternal security is not based on our
good works but on the precious blood of the Lamb. The love of God allowed for the
penalty for our sin to be paid by His Son. At the moment we turn to Christ for salvation,
we are betrothed to the Lord for ever.
John 3:15, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
