Our Scripture reading today is Luke 6:17-19.
Verse 19, "And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all."
Can you imagine the scene as a whole multitude of people was healed by the Lord Jesus? There may have been hundreds and even over a thousand who traveled from various places. These people who had great needs and were desperate for help, had enough faith to believe that if they simply touched Him they would be healed. We read also that they were wanting not only to be healed but to hear Him teach. I would say quite the introduction to the newly called disciples.
We can make several applications for us today. The one that stands out to me is the faith to bring our daily cares to the Lord and believe that He is able to make a way. It matters not how far away you are. Make your way back to Him and He will be waiting for you. Most of us need some form of healing every day. Whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual, God is able bring us through it. As we will see tomorrow night, there is bigger purpose for what you might be going through today. God is faithful.
