Our Scripture reading today is Romans 8:26-27.

Verse 26, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

At the moment of our salvation, we are in dwelt by the Holy Spirit of God.  We cannot get any more of the Holy Spirit today than we had the first day we turned to Jesus Christ to be born again.  Part of the blessings of having God's Spirit living in us are listed in these verses.  As a follower of Jesus Christ, we have a promise that we will never be alone.  God is with us in the person of His Spirit and God's Spirit helps us and makes intercession for us in our time of prayer.

Every day we are met with challenges that we do not know how to overcome them.  Not only do we not know how to overcome them, but we struggle to know how to ask God for help.  Our weakness allows His strength to be more fully known.  2 Corinthians 12:10, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."  God tells us to pray without ceasing and He provides us with His Spirit so we will know how to pray.  God is so good!
