Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 26:17, "He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears."
There are times in life when we should speak and in this case, there are times in life when we should be quiet.  “The Hebrew verb ("meddleth") literally means ‘become excited’…the Hebrew could fit the line — someone who gets angry over the fight of another.” (Ross). It is not wise to make someone's argument our own when it has nothing to do with us.
What can we do in this situation?  Should we just stand by and watch the fight or quarrel?  The best decision we can make when we are presented with this scenario is to PRAY.  My words are far better used in communication with the only One Who can resolve the strife.  I am sure there are numerous situations that God is bringing to our minds as we consider this truth.  Let's use wisdom and bring those involved to the Lord in prayer.
