Our Scripture reading today is Proverbs 24:10, "If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small."

It does not say, "When thou faint..."  As I mediate on this verse, I am challenged to choose
the right way.   Fainting is a choice.  Quitting is a choice.  Dropping out of church is a
choice.  It is imperative that we choose to lean on His everlasting arms.  As we learned last
night, a choice must be made to die.  My choice to die will lead to strength and life.

2 Corinthians 10:12, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."  Adversity does not have to lead to fainting.  It can lead to more strength.
