Our Scripture reading today is Luke 1:31-33.
Verse 33, "And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end."
All throughout history, rulers have risen to power and they have fallen from power. There isn't anyone who can say what was said about the Lord Jesus in Luke 1:33. The angel delivered a message to Mary that the baby she will deliver will reign forever and His kingdom will never come to an end. We read in Isaiah 9:7, "Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this."
Taking this truth into consideration and meditatin on it will bring a peace to our hearts that nothing can take away. Our Saviour's kingdom will NEVER end! Please take a few moments to worship Him in song..."A mighty fortress is our God...the body they may kill...His TRUTH abideth still...His kingdom is forever..."
