Our Scripture reading today is Ephesians 2:4-7.
Verse 5, "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"
It does not get much more encouraing than these verses of Scripture penned by the Apostle Paul.  All that we have in Christ Jesus is through God's love and amazing grace.  Once we were headed for Hell and now we have the promise of eternal life in Heaven.  John 5:24, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."  God loved us when we were dead in our sins.  God loved us first!  He initiated our relationship with Him.
God took on our death so we could share in His everlasting life.  Jesus Christ quickens (makes alive) everyone who turns to Him for salvation.  We become new creations in Christ.  2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."  All of this and so much more are only possible by the grace of God.  It is His matchless grace that keeps us going day by day.  Man has no merit worthy of God's love and salvation.  Psalm 100:5, "For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."
