Our Scripture reading today is Exodus 18:21-22.
Verse 21, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God..."
It is quite possible that the proper fear of God in the life of most Christians is the quickest way to see revival. Far too long we have allowed the fear of man to be what dictates our decision making process. Proverbs 29:25 tells us, "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." Do we reverence man's word above God's Word? Do we allow our weekly schedule to be controlled by self or God? God has proven Himself trustworthy over and over again in our lives. Ecclesiastes 12:13 gives this challenge: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
There is no better time than the present to honour and bring glory to our God by keeping His commandments. We need revival!
