Our Scripture reading today is 1 Corinthians 2:3-5.
Verse 4, "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power:"
Whether it be the preacher on Sunday and Wednesday or your witness to a friend or
co-worker, the power of God is needed. There will not be any change of heart unless
the power of the Holy Spirit is present. This power will not necessarily manifest itself
in the same way all of the time. By that, I mean, it could be a bombastic Bible message
or it could be a quiet conversation over coffee. Our responsibility is to speak the truth
in love. Regardless of the setting, like Paul, we need to see a "demonstration of the
Spirit". This is God's responsibility and He always comes through!
