Our Scripture reading today is Psalm 40:1-3.

Verse 3, "And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD."

The more we see God at work in our lives, the more we will realize there is always a reason to rejoice,  While He allows certain challenges and difficulties, He does what He does with and on purpose.  It can be discouraging as we wait to see what God desires to accomplish.  We are admonished in verse 1 to wait patiently on the Lord.  It has been said that if we can trust God with our eternal home, surely we can trust God with our temporal home.

Our new song of praise will not only encourage us, but it will also be a living testimony to those whom we influence and even people we don't even know.  The comfort God gives us isn't only for us.  It is to be shared with others who are also in need of comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:4, "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Today is a good day to praise the Lord for His faithfulness in allowing trials to come into our lives, staying with us in them, and delivering us out of them.
